Fender Guitar Electric – What Are The Pros And Cons Of Fender Brand Guitars?

Fender is a guitar company with decades of experience as a trusted business for hundreds of nationally touring guitarists. With so much support and so many sponsors, they must be doing something right in the music industry.

You might want to ask yourself however, if the Fender brand is right for you concerning the size, look, and tone. Check out the positive things that Fender-made guitars can bring to your music experience.

* Thinner necks can go a long way.

Fender electric guitars tend to build instruments with thinner necks to lure younger musicians with smaller-sized hands and fingers. If you feel like you’re straining to play even simple chords and licks, maybe a thinner neck is really what you need.

* You can get a boost in the mid-range of tone.

If you want a little more rounded attack on stage, Fender guitars can provide that due to their strong mid-range tone. It’s this extra push in the middle of the tone spectrum that makes Fender a very versatile type of guitar.

* They’re lighter and easier for whipping.

This brand might be right for you if you’re the type that doesn’t want to sit still on stage. Go run, jump, and throw a few guitar whips, and you shouldn’t feel a bulky guitar is weighing you down.

These are only a few of the good things that Fender brand electric guitars can provide, but it’s understandable if that’s not what you need. Take a look at the opposite side of the spectrum to learn why Fender sometimes isn’t the right choice.

* They’re not incredible bass machines.

Considering that Fender creates guitars with a boost in the middle of the tone spectrum, they tend to lack in the bass end. This can be compensated by the right electric guitar amplifier, but purchasing a guitar with more bottom end might be your answer.

* It might be hard to get your fingers on more frets.

Having a higher number of frets on the guitar neck is something that lead and metal guitarists might prefer for virtuosic purposes, but Fender might not be able to provide. Check out some metal-style guitars if you’re looking for more frets to rock out on.

* Is high string action what you want?

When you take the guitar out of its packaging, you’ll notice that its string height might be a bit higher than most to compensate harder strumming patterns. If you’re looking for a guitar that plays well for fast fingers with a light touch, get a feel for some other guitar brands first.

Fender brand electric guitars will probably never be taken off the music store shelves, but they’re really not for everyone. Research the aspects that you desire personally in a guitar before you go out and pay for something you might not like.
