Semi Acoustic Guitars
Difference between sound produced by Acoustic & Electric guitars?
Does anyone know if theres any difference between the sounds produced by the acoustic and electric guitar? And is it better to get an acoustic or semi-acoustic guitar?

Sound is sound, a series of waves of various frequencies depending on the pitch.
Now, if you are asking about the magnitude (volume) of the frequencies produced, then that is a very different story, and the answer is yes, there is a difference in the volume of sound, but not the sound itself.
There are many guitars you could look at
1) Acoustics
2) Semi-Acoustics (usually acoustics with an electric amplification device contained within the instrument)
3) hollow-body electrics (Rickenbacker 300 series, Gibson ES-335)
4) solid-body electrics (Fender Strats, Gibson SGs, LPs, etc)
They all have a unique sound providing characteristics
Most solid body electrics provide relatively little sound volume without amplification as the distance between the strings and the guitar body is small.
Hollow-body electrics provide a little more volume as the string vibration has an acoustic cavity to work with (the upper half of a Rickenbacker 300 series guitar)
My recommendation is get what you can afford.aspire to play.
